Organization

Breast Cancer Focus, Inc. (BCFI) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation established under the laws of the State of Alaska. BCFI was formed to provide a forum for fund raising for local breast cancer education, research and advocacy.

The mission of Breast Cancer Focus, Inc. is to forge a cohesive team as a catalyst for obtaining funds to support advocacy, education, research and compassionate giving in Alaska and to help eradicate breast cancer.

In forming this corporation, it was the wish of the originators that the corporation not duplicate services that another organization in Alaska is currently undertaking. The focus, therefore, is to raise funds to support the activities of Alaskan organizations whose goals coincide with those of this corporation. Funds are distributed annually through a competative grants processes.

• Research: Encourage and support Alaskan research.
• Advocacy: Encourage awareness and responsibility.

Our Activities

• BCFI presents a fund raising luncheon that hosts nationally known people who are pro-active in raising awareness of this disease.
• BCFI raises funds to provide grants to non-profit organizations dedicated to breast cancer issues.
• BCFI conducts free educational seminars. The seminars present timely topics and offers opportunity for questions and answers.
• BCFI has developed partnerships with various businesses that financially support BCFI and it's mission.
